Why do the attackers get the line drawn from the upper body leaning forward, but the defenders get line drawn from knee bent back away from goal.

It's a farce. It's not football. The refs are a load of inept clowns.

Literally no one wanted VAR for this level of detail. The morons in the studio should be banned from using trigonometry and should have 5 seconds to look with their actual eyes to make the decision

The whole VAR system shows that so-called professional referees really have no grasp of the rules of the game and as such make up decisions how they so wish.

Remember when Spurs played us? It wasn't a handball because 'the defender was under pressure'? Strangely, I'd never heard the rule before, or actually after.

I know how stupid, so if your in offside position are they saying you now can't get back onside and make a run and score? I'm confused

That has to be the answer.
It’s called Football so it should be a foot (or feet) - clearly and obviously- in front of the last defender . No other body part
