it's early days so the RS can't start planning their parade yet but that result was a breath of fresh air. Hope the league stays like that this season.

The belief you can get after City when they're away from home will spread round now. I'm convinced they see Liverpool as a fixture to get out the way. Comes to something when we are about the only team in the league that have given them a game lately.

Defensively they are average, the whole back four tonight for a team that has spent what city have is shocking recruitment.

It's why they get found out in Europe where teams don't show them respect and go at them.

If they do it this year then so be it, but if someone had offered me 30 years they wouldn't win the title until 2020 I'd have snatched their hands off.

Realistically they need to have either Van Dijk or Mane or Salah out for months on end to lose out to City again. That said, I wouldn't bet against Liverpool blowing a lead in the PL, it's what they do.

That's the issue - they can't stop winning and it's frankly bizarre.

I'd actually say at this point that Firminho would arguably be a bigger miss than Salah at least.
