Good to see Manchester City doing their bit for homelessness in Manchester with a game of footie. Might go a tiny bit of way to sorting out the problems their owners have created by getting cheap contracts to build around the north of the city coupled with cheap rent on a football ground. Will go a lot of the way to helping whitewash their reputation, of course.
Sound bitter ds, City's owners are in a 3 way partnership with Manshester city council and Great Places a leading housing association. The object being to provide affordable housing ineast Manchester, around the Etihad Stadium. If you had been waiting for a number of years for such housing as my sister has, I'm doubt if you would hold the same views. With regard to the "cheap rental" City pay, well that has nothing to do with the current owners, it was agreed subject to City moving into the stadium, after conversion from the original athletic design. Rent is payable on attendances over the 35,000 that Maine rd. held. So seeing no one goes to watch City this sum is pretty low! Hope this helps, all the best, see you in a couple of weeks in the Taxi Drivers.
