The Manchester United Women’s manager, Casey Stoney, does not believe a female coach has a chance of taking charge of a senior men’s side “in her lifetime”

Interesting article
She's probably right
You just know the first club to hire a female manager will get hammered for doing it as a "publicity stunt" or some sort
the only thing i know about women's football is that USA seem to win everything
so i googled the USA women's coach -
her name is Jill Ellis, she's 52, she's from portsmouth, england suprisingly.
in fact she left the usa team last month
her credentials are pretty impressive - she has won 2 women world cups
i just came across this article
The USA coach defied critics – including some in her locker room – to triumph in France. But she is unlikely to find a bigger job than her current one

surely someone with those credentials could do a job in league 2 or league 1
