I think the home and away format is much better, but would defo be swerving the crap group stage and make the whole thing knockout.

It's better for more drama which is what UEFA want. Gets the viewers.

But like having the league cup semi finals over two legs...the 2nd leg usually serves the home team the best who usually go through. Gives teams a 2nd chance to blow 4 goal leads.

Straight up knock out leaves no room for 2nd chances in my eyes.
