Fair point about losing Kompany, and no doubt whatsoever that losing Laporte for so long as well was disastrous for City.
But it's worth a mention that Citys joke defence last season conceded only 2 more league goals than what I'm led to believe is the greatest back 4 we've ever seen.
Surprising stat....but the problem is, City have all the possession in their games, they are a better team than Liverpool... They dominate games, but whenever the opposition does manage they lay a glove on them, then generally concede soft goals...City's backline let the team down whenever they actually have to defend, which isn't often, but it's often enough for them to have lost the title by a massive margin.....its been a problem for them in Europe too, that team really should have won a champions league already..
