So their fullback went past their winger on the overlap, the winger had the Swansea fullback between him and the bloke running on and instead of just passing it at the Swansea player he simply chipped it over him and to the Brentford bloke running on.

Some Everton coach watching this is frantically drawing a diagram with a compass and a protractor trying to recreate this witchcraft so he can present it as a new idea to the players next season.

Think it works quite well in the circumstances. Without crowds playing home and away is redundant as there isn’t much home advantage. Playing in an empty stadium is basically a neutral venue, so making it just one game seems appropriate.
