The tactics are grossly regressive and haven't changed in about 15 years. That doesn't work. Essentially it's what happened to Wenger minus the regressive part.

Wenger's biggest problem was that he had no qualms about selling and/or letting his best players go to Chelsea, Man City and ManU. Arse was literally a feeder club for all of them. It probably cost them at least 1 title, maybe more.

It’s only ‘mess ups’ from our point of view.
