I think injuries might be getting to him.

I didnt want to say that as it may have seemed a bit of an attack, but I think that really watching him.

If hes going to downsize his game though, youd think his best skill is his finishing. I'm not sure dropping deeper suits him.

I do think you can see the impact of some injuries on him though. I mean hes still an excellent player, but maybe not quite where he was 2 years ago. It is also worth noting with Kane though, he tends to start most breaks quite slowly. Always felt hes a player that wants to get into a rhythm by playing.

Good points. He usually takes a while to get back into his stride. Son also way off the pace today.

Of course after a 5 month lay off a player is not going to be up to first team fitness but any striker is going to have problems getting involved in the game when you have such a low standard midfield not making any chances for you.

And this is relative as hes clearly a fit lad, but I dont think Kane has ever been the most natural athlete compared to most footballers. Hes a bit of a throwback. So if hes off match fitness a bit it tends to show.

I do think though, as the other fella said, the injuries will start to take their toll a bit.

Spurs were ok tonight though? Any thoughts? I'd forgotten how poor your form was before this lockdown malarkey!

I was wrong it was a 6.5 month lay off not 5. But he is finished because he wasn't Pele in his first game back.

Modern football fans LOL.

I'm not normally very positive about Spurs but I think we are gonna have a strong finish to the season.

strikers have come back from longer injuries and scored on their return.

im not expecting him to bag a hatrick but for a player who recovered in March (a 3 month layoff) and is playing against a side who haven't played in 3 months - 1 shot on goal is pathetic

no one is expecting pele, but 2 shots on goal would be a decent start

Spurs having at best a bottom half of the table midfield really doesn't help.
