Greg o'Keefe in the Athletic nailed it the other day: A competitive friendly. An oxymoron of a game with no real comparison.

A 'competition' in which it's rules have been changed 3/4's of the way through to facilitate it's return has no integrity.

It's meaningless, its a money-making ploy with the media scraping around trying to make out it's going to lift the nation - it's not. It's a joke, a game of football played at 80% with no fans, no atmosphere and with no regard for the safety of the players.

I do agree that it makes the competition a bit cheap when you add subs and whatever.
