We battered them for most of the game. Went 1-0 up. Everytime they got near our penalty area, they ended up scoring. He scored 4, and had another disallowed for offside. Also, the away end was packed to capacity that day. The Tranmere-Sunderland game was called off late on, so most of the Sunderland fans carried on to Liverpool to see a game: Us v Norwich (I found this out from speaking to some of them before the game).

I always say to my lad, that was the most one-sided reverse drubbing ever! Ekoku was a big rs fan which made it worse!!

I remember my dad telling me about this match in particular in that season and told me how they (or Ekoku more like) scored with every chance they had, but we had battered them for the rest of the game. I always thought it strange that such a game could turn out that way, but then again this is Everton we're talking about.
 
BBC are showing the England/Croatia match from Euro 04 on the red button/player at 3.00.

Its the 4 0 one, where Rooney announced himself to the wider world, including Fergie unfortunately.
