I think it’s quite a lot different now to how it was then, but it’s slowly becoming the accepted way to play football now much like the possession based model was a few years ago. Football is cyclical and teams will catch up

Exactly, pep started this high press style with his Barca team. Klopp seems to have taken to a new level with Liverpool. Not long until everyone else catches up.

You can. You knock it over them. Unfortunately teams are obsessed with trying to play out from the back and through pressing which is just stupid.

We are very guilty of this.

I mean obviously there’s more to it than that but in general that’s how you look to play. You certainly don’t try to play through the press and mess about at the back like we do anyway!
