To Boo or not to Boo?

Danny I usually agree with you but he's been a [Poor language removed].

Why mate? For accepting a four year contract with first team football as opposed to a reluctant, half-arsed, two year deal with limited first team football?

I don't think we were naïve and he's taken advantage, I think we dragged our heels for our own interests and took for granted he'd remain - you should never take some ones employment and living for granted.

The lads taken a step down to actually play the game. Something he has put his life into trying to achieve. I'd have done the same. I guess that makes me a [Poor language removed].

I think you need to hold back any thoughts of the situation until the truth comes out.

Got to agree with this. None of us are club insiders, are we? On the surface it looks like he's been a little [Poor language removed] to us, but there could be more to the story.

Depends how bitter and twisted your view is. We don't have many players who Evertonians wish well once they've left do we? It's almost embarrassing.

Dan Goslings known for being a good guy.

Some need to take a step back and look at the situation and put yourself in his shoes rather than seeing it as Black and White as "He left, JUDAS!!!!".

Everton penny pinch and drag their heals with offering a contract. A two year contract, This on the assessment of the health of a player, health/career jeopardised by an Everton club official telling him to jog off his injury. A two year deal, offered almost in reluctance, doesn't instil faith or confidence in the lads ability.

Not to mention that he'd struggle to get a game here.

Newcastle then offer the lad a chance to be a marque signing, a substantial signing on bonus with a four year contract.

As I say, if I was Dan Gosling - I'd have done the same. Those of you treated the same way in your profession would have done exactly the same. Win, win all round for him. First team football and job security.

My beef is at the club failing to protect a £4m asset. Plymouth must be pretty pissed as well!

Well it's one way of looking at it. But he never really put up much of a fight did he? I'm sure Everton didn't want to let him go at all - nevermind for free. Of course there are some here who failed to do their job - but I doubt Moyes is at fault here (not to say that's what you were implying).

The lad is a talent and like it or not, we brought him to the table, sometimes feel like we are the waiters and not actually enjoying the feast.

Also a list of players who left and don't/didn't get ****ged.

To be fair though Danny, those who have jumped ship have let the fans down, and not many of them have gone on to better things.

But the Evertonian is a miserable get as a profile. I don't think we can argue with that.

I'm a bit old, and mature to boo footballers to be honest.

'Booing' is for men in replica shirts.

I don't really 'boo', i shout abuse, like.....

"Do one you, yer Lego Headed nob" (Lescott)

"Shove ya unforunate quiff up yer arse, ya GBH, Phil Collins loving sh1thouse" (GBH)

"Fcuk off ya bad Bolton, redsh1te reject" (Nolan)

I'll prob just say something like "that goal was a fluke, ya funny lookin gremlin" at Gosling

"...ya GBH, Phil Collins loving sh1thouse" Now THAT is cold blooded! To accuse anyone of loving Phil Collins is sticking the dagger in mate!

It is in my eyes when he f8cks over the club that took a chance on him.
Rather than boo , it would be better not to boo an for us to put about 6 past the shower of [Poor language removed] and that would be enough for me , on the blame front surley both at fault in some way ...

And my opinion has been educated since then. (y) I reserve the right to become a better person. :)

I like this new BB, just gotta get you to like Howard now!

Harsh, but FACHTS, if you don't play Phil Collins, you get beat up by the Huyton mafia

May 2010: (talking about Everton) "There's no other club I'd rather be at."

July 2010: (signing at Newcastle) "It's a brilliant move for me," he said. "I can't wait to get started. I've played at St James' Park and I know all about the amazing atmosphere. It will be a great day when I finally get to run out in front of 50,000 people."

SNIDE. FACHT.

What do you expect him to say? " I wanted Everton but Newcastle will have to do" ?

Is 'snide' the only word in your alphabet? It's such an ugly word.

Who cares? Its not like he was a key member of the squad. He's young and will most probably fall out of memory into the "where did that lad go who scored that goal against the RS in the FA Cup?" while he ploughs his trade in the championship.

He's not even gonna be fit till Crimbo at least either.
