The thing about Cahill is that it doesn't matter who you are - he's not scared of you. He respects no reputation other than his club's and he makes himself be a better player than he has any right to be. Already an Everton Legend for me.
Yes, very much so. The one that vividly sticks in my mind was playing United in his first season, at Goodison, and Roy Keane came through the back of him as if to say "I'm the boss here" and Cahill got up, turned around and squared up to him. Keane took a step back and looked stunned that someone had the nerve to stand up to him.
With respect , mate . He's BEYOND the Big Man .
We've moved on . FAR , FAR ON . Yet , each time , our little Convict has just stepped the fuk on up . EVERY FUKN TIME !!!
The RS ARE TERRIFIED OF HIM .
Tim is my favourite Everton player of my lifetime, no doubts about it anymore. As much as I love Duncan, Super Kev was my favourite as he became my favourite at the time when I first started to seriously understand football. Timmy's surpassed him now (although I still love both Campbell and Fergie). He just epitomises everything that this club should be. The day he leaves, I dread to think about. I'll be pretty devvo'd (that's an understatement I think..)
Right on that as well, the reds proper hate him, and he loves it. He thrives off it and he turns it on for the big games, unlike others who have a tendency to disappear.
Never have I critisised the bloke. Not once. He is simply the best player of the Moyes era and will go down as the Everton legend of the Noughties!
There has always been a shower of Evertonians who mock him, but someone with abit of footballing knowledge could always see what he was offering us off the ball. Dropping into the midfield when defending and closing down and hustleing the opposition, something that goes a miss with some Evertonians.
The lads a legend on and off the pitch and genuinely a nice bloke always there for the fans. Just hope we can win a trophy whilst hes still with us!
Respect Timmy
Yeah, his footballing ability is very underrated.
He is WORLD CLASS at heading the ball, in my opinion. I can't think of a many better headers of the ball, particularly for his height. It's amazing. Clubs know he is a danger, they try everything to stop him, they must practice it over and over, yet he still, somehow, beats them to it time and again.
Also, it's his off the field stuff too. He is a fantastic ambassador for our club. He is the face of football in Australia but takes his pride for Everton back there for all to see.
All for £1.5m. Biggest bargain if ever there was one.
