Times article, Burnley/Leeds threaten to sue Everton

It suited all 3 parties. Spurs wanted rid, wages I guess. Players value is pretty poor as a proper transfer, and we couldnt stump up any real cash. Lampard most likely knows Deli.

Fitted our accounts, as in, £0.00 in this years fee. Only 19 games left. Player happy to come. Was a creative transfer.
Yep also got around the loan restrictions.
I have no doubt it would have been a loan with obligation. But we couldn't loan, so we came up with this.

Wish people would stop panicking. The absolute worst worst case scenario is a point deduction in 2 years time after an investigation and a CAS hearing. There's a zero % chance of anything happening to affect this season.
Next seasons fixtures are out in about 3 weeks.
They best get a move on !

LOL. Not a chance.

I mean just to add, Esk has piped him down there completely.

"It doesnt mean they have falsified their accounts" like wtf. Nobody with any degree of credibility in that field even utters such a statement. It's an incendiary suggestion.

This is basically the same as what happened a couple of months back, when rentagob Jordan mouthed off about potential points deductions. Esk easily explained why he was completely mistaken, and Jordan apologised and retracted stating it's not a possibility.

It's very clear who knows what is happening, and who is shouting their mouth off for the enjoyment of thick idiots who will never understand finances.
Swiss Rambler is what he is: an enthusiastic feller who gets by on clicks to his website.

Yes they’re currently at Anfield and when they’re finished with them they go to Utd then Chelsea, Arsenal and City. The rest of can just wait and take what we’re given.

I am reasonably sure that Esk was one of two online guys who engaged Simon Jordan when he (SJ) said we would be nuked.

Since then, SJ has been resolute that the accounts, whilst creative, (most are), are sound. IIRC. the actual loss for the PL rulez is in the region of £80m. Way below the threshold for a kicking. And that was done in full cooperation with the PL.

The Esk knows his stuff on this. There's no room for any doubt about that. It's his territory.

My hunch from yesterday when this news story broke was that we have some crazy ass yank owners and their ambulance chasers trying to wangle a few more million for the parachute payment. To call out the owners of the league you wish to remain in is off the charts mad.
