Too late did it in another thread ? but I think we suspended not terminated that contractI can think of one asset (who shall not be named) where we’ve probably been legitimately able to make a significant write off….
Absolutely. There's not a chance that either Leeds or Burnley will remain in open litigation against the League they are absolutely desperate to stay in.I guarantee the team that stays up drops this like a hot brick.
I dont know why City would rock the boat given they're still under review for overspending. I also think the other top clubs will see the PL weakened by their allowance for Everton to push the envelope in any future case they may have with them....though Barret-Baxendale's letter to them going after the scab 6 last summer may have left a sour taste.I suppose we might have an issue if more clubs also start making a complaint over it. The only clubs who might be up in arms will be the top 6 bar city. They don’t want clubs potentially taking a European spot from them with big spending.
No chance the likes of City, Newcastle or any club with ambitions outside the league makes a complaint as they would be basically doing their own legs.
I listened to Ziegler on Talksport last night. It's petty brief, but he reckons this will move slowly and not at Burnley and Leeds hoped for pace. He also says he thinks it's a problem for the PL and potentially one for Everton, that he cant see Everton being relegated with a points deduction, but he does think things might happen further down the line...presumably a fine or even a points deduction for next season.

And yet plenty of sources out there suggesting we’ve done nothing wrong…I listened to Ziegler on Talksport last night.
