Time to reassess: 71 points won't get us CL

Nothing excuses getting beat 4-0 last night.

However, regarding this 'race for 4th', Spurs have just been battered 1-5 at home by Man City. That follows losing 6-0 to City earlier in the season, and a 0-5 hiding at home by Liverpool.

They've lost 6 games this season (twice as many as us), yet sit 1 point clear of us.

They really aren't anything for us to fear and there is no reason we cannot finish above them. We just have to prove it when we go there a week on Sunday.

In addition Chelsea have also dropped points tonight, 0-0 at home to West Ham.

Both Spurs and Chelsea have spent hundreds of millions on players and yet they too are both suffering embarrassing results, Spurs more so than Chelsea.

We have had one embarrassment this season, last night.

All still to play for!

We just need to get some players back from injury to make a run at this thing. My only worry is that the squad's confidence and moral is low after recent league results. Hopefully Roberto can get things moving in the right direction again.

I want to see us f*cking go for it at spurs you know lads. I want to see us with deulofeu barkley mirallas and I want to see GOALS GOALS GOALS! Counter attacking football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we want fourth:

1) We must beat EVERY team below us in the table when we play them.
2) We must get some amount of points off of teams above us in the table.

While we're good at the second, we're not consistent at all with the first.

Maybe that will change this year. Maybe it won't.

Just looking back at this thread with 5/6 games to go..

Never thought it would be Arsenal who would become the target. I'm sure we all thought the top 3 would be Arse/City/Chelsea, and 4th would be between us and the RS, with Spurs/ManU chasing hard too.

Still think we'll need > 74 points, ie a better return over the 2nd half of the season that we had for the first half.

And still very doable, but of course we need to continue our good form.
3 points on Saturday would be massive.
