Time to get a bit nastier?

We need a bit of 'snide'. Not Suarez style dirtiness, but a bit of Duncan style honest and upfront hardness.

I said in another thread, the best teams mix it up - silky football is excellent but some bite is necessary.

We have had this sort of player in the past, remember Metarazzi, and others way back. Seeing the bits of vids of Besic reminds me a bit of Norman Hunter, now there was hard man along with Billy Bremner. So perhaps Besic is the one for us.

Our lot actually try to stay on their feet when there's contact in the box,it was the same under Moyes, very commendable and all that, but we need to be more "savvy"IMHO.

Jack whilshere is a 'snide' runs into people then just falls on the floor gets a free kick and is always in the refs ear. I dont want that.

Agree with everyone with the hard but fair aproach,

We do need to work on our snideness, example that sticks in my mind was Spurs away last year, we gave away a free kick and instead of someone standing in front of the ball (pretending to tie their lace or whatever) we just turned our backs and paid for it, that's the kind of sneaky tactics I want to see us getting better at.
We don't need to be meff's about it, just casual tricks that work in our favour.
When winning 1-0 in the last 10 minutes, there is no team better than Everton at taking 30 seconds for every throw in, or 45 seconds for a goal kick. We are sneaky enough.

Reminds me of when we were linked with this fella. Never wanted us to sign a player more than this when based on nothing but a youtube video :D
