Im not a massive fan, i think hes a good keeper, but no where near top notch or for me an improvement on Martyn or Southall, i look at some other keepers in our peer category and i think i would prefer them.

That said i think he has been great for the past month or two so credit where its due, he is always prone to the odd lapse which is unforgiving in his position. Hes still young in keeping terms, so i would hope and expect his game comes on.

He is right though. (he being Dom) Howard certainly is one of Moyes' best signings.

I work my nuts off in training every week and have never got any where near the pro leagues at all. So I tend not to talk down about any player who plays in the premiership as they must be doing something right.

So for someone like Martyn to say what he has after playing at that level for so long means hes a lot more qualified to judge someone than me. He must know what hes talking about surely!

Thats just silly. He used to make me nervous, but now im fairly comfortable with him, hes only going to get better IMO.

Yep totally agree. He will do for now but in the long run he needs replacing

To be fair, two of moyes best signings have been martyn and bent.

There is still a bit of attitude floating around due to the structuring of the howard deal and that game at goodison. That o'neil and drogba put 40 yard rockets in against him isn't on my list to forget either.
