2025/26 Tim Iroegbunam

None, that’s not his game if you hadn’t noticed.

He broke the play up well and kept his discipline (which has been a huge issue prior) off the ball.

He didn’t even get booked did he?

I believe i also said that he looks like a destroyer.

He lacks positional sense and passing ability and used to be a player who ran up the pitch with the ball.

I thought you may have disagreed.

No I agree mate I think he’s the closest thing we’ve got to Gana currently, but with maybe a bit more ball carrying ability.

Minus a lot of Gana’s nous and timing mind.

I think we signed Gana when he was 26 so Iroegbunam has 4 years on him in that respect.

I hold the view that he is also playing with shackles as there looks to be a player only focused on tackles and playing within himself.

At QPR and Villa he was 'apparently' known for his runs up the pitch with the ball to break lines.

We're not seeing that. Whether its confidence or hes under instruction.

I think we’ve seen plenty of his ball carrying ability in certain games.

Yesterday was never going to be one to highlight that, they’re so strong through the middle.

I thought he competed well with Rice though throughout.

It was more his discipline in keeping shape and to not get booked which was promising yesterday. If he can keep that up and start driving us forward again there’s a decent player in there. He does need to neaten up his passing as well mind.

His tackling is very good and at the moment i think he should be starting every game and Rohl or Gana need to win the place off him.

Not seen much of those driving runs this season. The passing needs work and he needs to be given the opportunity over several games to make the position his own over Gana.

Then we can see him confident and developing well hopefully ready for next season.

He’s 22, has already had a year in the championship, and is playing regularly for us. I don’t understand the obsession with him being loaned at all.

Because he has a lot of potential that he'll reach IF playing week in week out IMO. His biggest flaw is general positional play which is what game time brings.

When we have players back and fit, hes back to a squad player.

Hes started 8 games for us this season and come on in 7 others. Im not sure why we’d assume he’d have learnt more making 12 starts for West Brom than doing that to be honest, it seems a stretch.
