If Moyes is going to shake things up then at least start Armstrong over Tim every single day. Again, be brave. Start players like Armstrong or why bother. Same with Barry. This excruciatingly slow advance into a starter role is unnecessary and agonizing as a fan to watch and endure.

Just doesnt do enough.

Might win a tackle or have strength but doesnt pass forward or make anything happen.

That's fine if hes the sole responsibility, but thats what Gana does.

Think he needs minutes, but we cant afford him those.

Yeah, would have Armstrong ahead of him atm.

Team has to wean itself off Doucoure, and probably Gana next. Always seems to be a question of who plays with him, which leaves us short creatively.

Someone like Mangala but faster would be nice.

The problem with Gana is he wants the ball. So many players shirk from wanting it.

The fella doesnt have an attacking bone in his body. Yet because he doesnt hix
de, always ends up in those positions and its a waste. E.g. had the joint most shots of anyone in blue today.
Armstrong should have got a game before Iroegbunam, and I feel for Tim.

All 11 or however many played today played poorly, hes just not at this level, at present and Needs a loan. Needs regular minutes.

We’re starting basically the same squad that went to the states and we are yielding the same results. Seriously, why do we never deviate?? Start Armstrong. Start Jack. He could’ve destroyed Leeds. He’s seen and experienced more success and done more than their entire squad. Start Barry. Do something completely different. If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always gotten.

Fine athlete. Average footballer.

Already had the obligatory loan in his career to play games. Not sure we can apply the “needs minutes” thing here. He is the player he is going to be. He’s not going to suddenly mature into Toure. Occasionally useful, but if he is starting we have made a mistake somewhere along the line or have injuries.

Tim Iroegbunam is a gem and anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't know how to watch football. He's a strong squad player and he's young, but he's better than many rotational players his age. We're lucky to have him and definitely got the better end of the virtual swap for Dobbin.

I’d say it’s literally the other way round, if you can’t see how porous our midfield is whenever he plays and how unaware of his surroundings he seems to be at all times, then I think your own football watching skills might need some fine tuning.

I wanna believe this. What am I missing when I'm watching him.

He doesn't control the middle, cross or pass particularly well.

Gana's always been crap in front of goal and around the box, Tim seems the same to me...

But I wanna give him a fair go, what's he doing that I'm not seeing?

Cos right now I feel the same as I did about Kalvin Phillips playing for England.
