2025/26 Tim Iroegbunam

What he does well, he does very well sometimes.

His concentration is still a concern, and he is still so nonchalant with the ball.

Do think there’s a player here.

…..I do get nervous when he has possession, he’s not ‘safe’ on the ball which is probably why Gueye is usually preferred but he brings so much athleticism to CM. I also think the balance/partnership with Garner is better.

Garner (25), Iroegbunam (22), Rohl (23), Armstrong (19) KDH (26). Don’t tell anybody but Moyes transitioning to a very useful and young set of midfielders.

I don't mind this in the right circumstances. On the edge of his own box - no. But further up the field, him beating a player centrally could be really useful.

We had a lot of athleticism and pace last night in midfield, with him and Rohl. It was pleasing to see.

….yep, he lost one just our side of the half-way line in the first half that resulted in a dangerous moment for City but he’s come on loads from that disastrous performance against Newcastle earlier this season. As you say, he can go past opponents with ease with his physicality.

I always think back to the 2-3 home defeat against Bournemouth when I was sat in Lower Bullens and he put on a real show. I was close enough to see him taking the p1ss out of their midfielders. He was untouchable for 60mins of that game, I loved watching him that game but we all remember what happened in the end.

I like him lots, he’s only 22 and I’d be getting him on a longer contract.

Agree. He's come on a lot and he has a skill set others at the club don't have.

It is noticeable how much his game drops off when he is out of energy though. Like he gives everything, then he's just gone. It's happened a few times this year.

Needs the manager to anticipate it a bit better. But, Rohl and Iroegbunam rotating for pace and athleticism would be very useful.

I think this part stands out, the dovetail as a partnership when they play together in a more natural way.

I like the fact that he doesnt seem to panic and want to rush a pass or launch it when he has the ball, as thats the easy option. But its something that needs to be worked on, especially in key areas.

His bite, effort, stamina and tackling ability are excellent. He is strong in duels too so if we can work on the awareness of whats around him then I think we have a quality young player on our hands. Definitely be looking to give him a new contract as he offers something none of our other players do and not many in the league do.
