He’s the first midfielder off the bench right now. How he was acquired is irrelevant.Yes, but you're missing the point because signing him meant we got £10m for Dobbin which is daylight robbery.
But he really didn’t start bright. His strengths were something we hadn’t seen in a midfield player in a while. His weaknesses were also very apparent at that time, and still are.Another who just doesn’t look fully match fit after his injury. He started bright under Dyche.
It's not irrelevant to the point I was originally commenting on, which was a bit back in the thread. He’s the first midfielder off the bench right now. How he was acquired is irrelevant.
Writing him off is ridiculous but to be fair he’s a first team player in the PL who cost £10m and who is probably paid more every week than most people on here are in a year, he’s going to have people commenting on poor performances.
Watching people kick a ball around a field is a bit weird when you think about it isn’t? Once you accept we’re all on here talking about that, commenting on how much they earn for doing it hardly compares in terms of being bizarre does it?So weird when people bring up premier league footballers salary v ‘ordinary people’ why is that even a factor.
Bizarre
We're not getting anywhere near £10 million for himReally think he was a resale plan by Thelwell.
Fixed PSR for us last summer and a short 3 year deal so that this summer he could be moved on for £10mil+ unlocking a decent chunk of PSR.
Sell at the same price and we could give a 5 year deal out on a transfer fee of £16.7mil
