I had written him off as a business move and nothing else, glad to see i was wrong. All i saw the Villa fans say about him was negative, league one level, you know, the same kind of stuff we say about our young players.

I know it’s only a pre-season friendly, but Roma were good and turned up to play and he looked at home at that level. Onana has never played that well for us.

A very tidy player this lad. It will be interesting to see if Dyche has the courage to start him in our early premier league games, whilst Garner is out. Either way, he looks good value at £10 mill.
