I thank Tim for his service, however I think most blues feel it's time for Joel to get a real chance of a good half-season run of games. That's not to be read as a personal attack on TH folks. He was good, he's not any more. It happens to all players.

Spot on mate. He's been decent over the years. No need for the abuse. He shouldn't be anywhere near our goalposts in the future though.

Pretty much this. He shouldn't be a talking point anymore which is refreshing. Joel for the rest of the season. Howard off to MLS this summer. At that point, we'll know what level of keeper we need to sign. If he is a talking point going forward it's either Bobby's fault or injury related.

Having his kids so far away can't help his concentration,I'm not saying that explains everything because he divorced when Moyes was manager.But I know if it was me over time,it would effect performance.

I think he does deserve the abuse, he's stank the place out for 2 seasons now. Before that he was average at best, his ego makes him come out and give stick to the fans in the press as well as while he's playing.

He's burnt his bridges and I can't wait till he's gone.

....I think Robles has a genuine claim to be no1 but that's it. In my opinion, Howard has been a fine signing, a very useful goalkeeper and good value for money. Time might have caught up with TH but let's not forget how decent he's been.

i think tim howard has always been extremely average goalkeeper, who had some athletic ability to perform good saves. But i always thought if we had a bit of money we should look for a new GK.

I don't think he's been 'decent' i think he's been ok/good to the point where we werent DESPERATE to get a new goalie, but always could have done with a upgrade.

Consistently average imo, had a really good season in bobbys first year but was always no more than steady before. Been worst keeper in the league for 18 months now though
