big nev can say literally whatever he likes, he's our greatest post war player, if he comes round and pisses on your furniture, you'd best praise his accuracy

Or lose respect for former greats who slate current players. Either way.
Robles in. Like I just effing said.
I hope he gets worms.
One of the few who tells it how it is instead of toeing the line like some of our former players who are on the payroll or looking for hand outsSouthall isn't employed by the club so, in my opinion, he can say what he likes.
He has opinions and isn't afraid to share them, whether they tow the party line or not. Probably why he hasn't been employed by the board, they no doubt feel that no matter what he did for the club, he'd cause plenty damage on the PR front. I disagree, the knowledge and coaching he'd bring would be just as powerful as whatever he might say.Pity Southall hasnt got a role at the club as since him weve only had useless keepers (other than martyn but he was a known quantity)....
Seems strange not to utilise him.
Spot on he would sus out a bad keeper or like the over the hill keeper we have in Tim!He has opinions and isn't afraid to share them, whether they tow the party line or not. Bingo, and this is the bit I dislike about our fanbase (other clubs may have the same thing but I don't care)...He's been a good servant to the club, Tim, I always used to question him coming for crosses etc but he's been OK for the most. I think we all know its time he moved aside, look what a keeper such as Cech.
Lets hope Robles doesnt make any howlers and then we all clamber for him to be dropped as well.

we get a good player in who gives us good service. We respect and appreciate that service until they begin to deteriorate. From this point we then start to belittle them and forget the previous 'x' years.
Happened with Neville
Happened with Osman
Happening with Howard
I can't be bothered going further back because my jacket potato is going cold but it's clear that these players and their abilities did/have dwindled due to the natural ageing process.
If you want to blame someone (not sure why you would as these players bring more to the table than just on-field performances) then blame Moyes, blame Martinez - these are the people picking them.
The whole cheering Howard when he caught the ball was one of the most bizarre things i've witnessed from a bunch of absolute whoppers.
Mike, I respect you as you know, and it's clear which side of the fence you sit on with this debate.Howard has been woeful for 4 years
He should not be selected in the team them = simple for RM???????Mike, I respect you as you know, and it's clear which side of the fence you sit on with this debate.
But surely you can concede he was good in Martinez's first season? Last year not good, and this year not good.
Does the blame not lie with the manager if anyone? Or is it right to ridicule a player who, whilst not meeting expectations, is not doing it on purpose?
Hang on thats going to be hard when he plays a very good game every Preston Guild! He's been a good servant to the club, Tim, I always used to question him coming for crosses etc but he's been OK for the most. I think we all know its time he moved aside, look what a keeper such as Cech.

He shouldnt open his mouth and chat tosh then if he didnt want the stickMike, I respect you as you know, and it's clear which side of the fence you sit on with this debate.
