Didnt want poor timmy to get hurt...hes fragile. Good sort that Mori.

On a serious note, when is the MLS able to sign players, same as us?

It's amazing how even when people here can't actually figure out what Howard might have specifically done wrong for a goal, they still figure out a way to blame him.

So you're saying Funes Mori dragged Okazaki down in the penalty area because he was worried about his goalkeeper? How does that make any sense at all?

Im eager to see who he signs...

Couldn't agree more, here's Brian Clough making the same point: “Shilton was the deciding factor. I’d have paid almost any price. A team with an OK goalkeeper is always looking over its shoulder. At the back of its mind, it’s thinking ‘it doesn’t matter what we do – the fella between the posts might make a mistake’. With Shilton in goal, it gave everyone else more confidence. It spread throughout the side. We were full of ourselves.”

Martinez's biggest failing is not addressing this issue.

Wonder what boxing day will bring Tim this week lol, sending off 2 years ago and lose 1-0 to sunderland, injured and lose 1-0 to stoke last year, and now this weekend, the black and white strips instead of the 2 previous red and white stripes, could have even missed the B/D game if he got sent off yesterday really-oddly we conceeded pen in in both defeats lol,im going for us to get our 1st since may

Who takes our pens now?

You know we conceded 46 league goals that season mate. To put it into some sort of context last season we conceded 42, with an awful Alcaraz, Distin and a young and inexperienced John Stones.

When you think in 2004/05 we set up very defensively as a team it kind of makes you wonder what's happening in front of Howard.

We conceded 50 last season, and had 10 clean sheets. We conceded 46 in 04/05 and had 13 clean sheets. For 13/14, we conceded 39 and had 15 clean sheets.

Somewhere along the way we've had a huge drop off in performance or talent, whichever you prefer.

If I remember rightly, Arsenal put 11 past us in 2 games in the 04/05 season. 7 of them in an end of season game that was meaningless to us (can't remember if they had anything to play for.)

We have been here before - Howard needs replacing but it's a pointless discussion as Martinez won't drop him for Robles. (Certainly not this season anyway)
