I can't stand the arrogance of him, recently interviewed he dismissed a lack of form.

Deluded and useless, a bad combination.

Good keepers inspire confidence in defenders and make defences better. Listen to the way some of our older defenders speak of Southall. A good keeper in goal makes the whole team stand taller.

What we have must have them constantly bricking it about conceding a shot/cross/corner.

No it won't and the back four have to take responsibility also for our porous defensive record, but seriously lad Howard is utter gash. I gather from our previous posts you like him but even Stevie Wonder reckons he's GASH and that's coming from a fellow American.

I did say improve not cut out individual errors. I thought mori won he majority of headers today.

So if they're all making mistakes why should we only get rid of Howard?

With the league cup semi finals coming up soon I would now put Robles in from Newcastle onwards and give him a run. Nows as good a time as any after another abject display.

Up until last season we traditionally had one of the top 3 defensive records in the league, so that's not right.

But their errors are leading to sustained pressure on our goal. We like shooting ourselves in the foot it seems and then people like you blame Howard and ignore the obvious.

Really? So Howard has always been good at collecting crosses, coming out for them, or in general organising his defence, which has been mostly done by Jags and not him (and Moyes' defensive coaching was better by a mile tbh)? Or long shots and dealing with them?

Or was he really good at random starfish jumps and illogical actions similar to that? Please.

I'm not saying he's a terrible keeper - he's got very good reflexes, but bar that he's very, very average (at best) at a lot of other things, and this is not a case where two negatives can make a positive somehow.

Now come on Macca he wasn't any worse today than say Mori or Stones. He was far from abject, even @sageyefc said he was okay and not at fault today and he hates him.
