Tim Howard

Really? So Howard has always been good at collecting crosses, coming out for them, or in general organising his defence, which has been mostly done by Jags and not him (and Moyes' defensive coaching was better by a mile tbh)? Or long shots and dealing with them?

Or was he really good at random starfish jumps and illogical actions similar to that? Please.

I'm not saying he's a terrible keeper - he's got very good reflexes, but bar that he's very, very average (at best) at a lot of other things, and this is not a case where two negatives can make a positive somehow.

Don't let the facts get in the way of you dislike of the man mate.

Now come on Macca he wasn't any worse today than say Mori or Stones. He was far from abject, even @sageyefc said he was okay and not at fault today and he hates him.

He was rubbish DD but yes your right, definitely no worse than the 2 plums stuck in front of him.

Honestly I am the pace of a snail and I could carve my way through Evertons back line then wait for T Dog to star jump over my pea roller.

I don't even blame him Dougie, I blame the soft arse who keeps picking him week in week out and blagging us about how he has all these special qualities to help the defence because of his experience. Guess what Bobby, he doesn't help anyone!!

Even my son who is 7 years old is starting to question certain things he does such as "why does he dive but when he dives he actually doesn't move across so it's almost like he's falling to the floor".

He's bloody 7 DD and he knows Timmys time is up lol

The foul for the penalty was awful and was a real game changer at 1-1 the game was there if we could take it ,at 2-1 down it played right into their hands. What worries me is how many times we seem to be caught 2 on 2 at the back , I thought Barry was supposed to be holding , but we seem to be attacking with 8 up at the minute. I don't like the Howard bashing in games when it was clearly nothing to do with him , but I do think it's time Martinez made a change before the fan base turn on him over this issue.

If you subscribe to the view that RM is assembling a side for the future - the spine is young ( Rom - Barkley - Mac - Stones) Howard is old so needs replacing now - not being ageist of course
and I think he will in the summer. Our finances meant Martinez has had to overhaul the squad a few players at a time per window (Mccarthy, Rom/del/barry loans in 2013; Rom, Barry, Besic perms in 2014; Now del, lennon, and Mori perms in 2015). I think this upcoming summer we'll find a new keeper, a creative type and cover for seamus as I think hibbo will retire when his deal runs out.

If we finish mid table Rom & stones will be gone
And we have to start again the only bonus is we should have over a 100mil to spend

Yep goalkeepers the next area of recruitment in the summer, if we are strong about incoming requests.
Robles needs a run to evaluate is it our stuck on the line keeper, or scared of crosses or does not command his box his opposite number showed us how its done!
Or is the the defence - last clean sheet away v borough they have not lost a game since top of Division one - why do we fall away in the 2nd half also?
RM has to sort it!
