Tim Howard

Considering how he's glued to his line 99% of the time I wish he would when he feels the need to bring someone down.

He's crap, Martinez continues to pick him though so he's only doing what he does best which is very little.

I accept that we need a central defender and wingers after last season, and there was hope he could return to his 13/14 form.

However, now, I mean this with all due respect, he has played well and had some excellent seasons at the end of this season I would be more than happy to fire him from a cannon over to Yankland where they can idolise him and get ANY keeper in instead of him. I have no confidence when:

a) a ball is crossed in
b) a header comes at him in the box
c) any sort of leadership to two young defenders.

Kone was worse than him - that's all I can say - another thing is Barry had a very good first half when he fades it effects the team in the 2 Nd half - but Robles needs trying out just to see if the defence is at fault or over the hill Tim?

I wouldn't specifically blame Tim Howard for today...but we are a colander at the back and something needs to change. I know @davek will be at odds with my general observation, that RM is a little like a possum with the headlights on it.

Not one for dumping on players me, but as has been said in various threads, to paraphrase;

We are sex going forward.

We are sound in midfield. Generally.

Our back four are a) best young defender in Europe. b) best fullbacks in the league. possibly. c) Argentinian international. d) England international and club captain close to fitness.

Make your own mind up where the weakness might be.
