Taleban have produced significantly better goalkeepers so no comparison

Don't think those lads want to be anywhere near crosses

Being a Howard critic's easy. Oh you feel a little queasy? Do you need a diagnosis, well the doctors got one.

'Your stomach seems to be filled with boogers and cum.'

Howard said: “You want to take time to celebrate but you don’t want to take too much time.

“You got the sense that once the celebration went on the time would be added on and unfortunately it was."

Good goalkeepers save you 3 points a few times a season... Howard will very likely not even do it once... And that is before the number of points he will cost us is taken into account

He has had 113 clean sheets at Everton, that means on those games we had to get at least a point, he has been here 8 years, which means he has earn't us an average of at least 14 points a season :)

He just fills a shirt these days.

Every great side has a great keeper, we don't anymore, he's well last his sell by date

Are you joking?
I've now seen the goals
And he should save their 3rd IMO
It's head height and in the centre of the goal
A good keeper saves that abs wins us 3points

Why is he so far over towards his right post before the cross comes in?

Don't worry Stephen the nurse will be around after lights out to give you your glasses back.

He is right though DD, for some reason he was too far right and the header is bang central. Even if Tim was central he still would have missed it though ;)

Not Tims fault though, players and manager take the blame yesterday but a top keeper probably keeps that header out and wins us the 3 points but I wouldn't have expected Howard to save that so I'm not going to blame him. Apart from the flap at an invisible pigeon in the first half he was solid yesterday up to that 3rd goal part and he was solid against Villa.

Barcelona never had a great keeper during their Pep Guardiola run. The Inter Milan team that dominated Serie A and won the Champions League a few years back didn't have a great keeper. Dortmund didn't have a great keeper during their recent great run.

Not that any of that has anything to do with our situation; it's just a silly cliché that I'd like to see go away. Tim Howard's the weak link in the squad and goalkeeper is the most obvious position to be upgraded through the transfer market, but the idea that we somehow can't be a great team unless we have the next Buffon on the payroll is ridiculous. It would certainly help, as would having a great player at any position, but having a great goalkeeper won't turn us into a great team (Bert Trautmann only one one trophy in his entire career) and not having a great keeper won't prevent us from becoming a great team.

Neville Southall probably won us about 15 points for the 85 and 87 titles.

Just saying like.
