Haha ridiculous.

He has Barkley day dreaming and completely losing his man and then Naismith is there marking?????? Oxygen? Look at the goal again. What is Naismith doing? We know Barkley lost his man but what is Naismith doing.

every pundit seems to be disagreeing with you, every fan too, barkley was at fault also, not instead of howard, surely you can admit that
GSouness quote TH came out in the first half on the ground for dangerous interceptions yet failed to move four yards to punch a basic cross away mind boggling!

If Barkley does his job it's a moot point, he doesn't and it's a goal. Howard had every right to expect Barkley to beat a guy 5-6 inches smaller than him to the ball easily.
but he didnt so its not a moot point, and howard failed in helping his team mates out of a situation where the oppo have got past them, which is quite an important thing for a goalkeeper, no?

Of course we need better because he's not the best but it's about priorities as you know, it's getting to a point were he needs changing (it's likely to be this summer imo) but he is what he is now for us. He rightly deserves critism at times but fundemently today's goal is Barkleys mistake not Howard's and people are looking past his good save earlier just to point the finger at the usual scapegoat.

Howard is at fault first though. He should be coming for that every single game. Once he doesn't your right Barkley should win the header but Howard not coming makes it his fault first

Should be claiming that ball in the air, or at least be telling Ross he has a man behind him.
Decent enough save with his feet insofar as good positioning but I do think we need an improvement if we're to progress as a team.

Tremendous servent, and I don't like to criticise but we're blinkered if we don't think we need a better keeper.
Absolutely.

Nothing personal against him, and he's been great for us over the last decade, but he frustrates me these days.

I know today's goal was a combination of being so close range, him not coming out for the ball and poor marking, but he just seemed to watch it fly in.

What's Tim Howard's favourite colour? Indigo......

I'd have liked to have seen Cech, personally.
