Had a decent game until the first goal yesterday, but that was a shocker. Didn't cover himself in glory with the second either.

We knew he was well on the downslope last season, piss poor from Martinez to not address it in the summer. There's no place for sentiment and he should have been packed off.

Tough yesterday because he did make some very good saves. But that first goal? I remember as a young kid when having a kickabout with my old fella him saying "always protect your near post"! Its basics to be brutal about it. That said City deserved the win. We had to score first in my book and were'nt looking likely at that stage.

he kept us in the game for an hour, if we had conceded early on the crowd would have turned and we could have got spanked. Thought it was a top performance from Tim with one unfortunate error for the goal that he should have saved. Don't know how anyone can chastise him for just that tho after an otherwise MOM performance

Two errors not one.

Like he does every game.

He did not keep us in the game, he made saves that a goalkeeper should make. All keepers are good at saving shots at all levels of the game. The difference is the mistakes he makes and Howard makes them every single game.

We wont win many close games like yesterdays was with a keeper like Howard as he is always prone to let one in.

I find the defending of him these days to be utterly bizarre. He is a terrible goalie with a complete lack of the basics of goalkeeping (make yourself big, guard your near post etc)

He is our biggest problem right now in my opinion.

Mistake after mistake from Howard cost us so many points. I admire the way he's made a successful career through adversity but he's not good enough. Surely his confidence will take a dip after that performance which is a scarey thought

Y'all are being way too hard on him. Yeah, that first goal was inexcusable but it could have easily been 5-0 they way they sliced up our back four. But I'm american so maybe I'm biased. I think he's a great goalkeeper

He isn't a great goalkeeper at all. There isn't one goalkeeper in the league he's better than. He's been absolutely terrible for 3 seasons now. So fed up of him, he needs to go asap and it's possibly the worst managerial decision Martinez has made keeping him in the team.

Play Robles on Wednesday and just give him a run,not saying he is the answer long term but Howard is an accident waiting to happen these days,yeah some good saves at 0-0 but the two goals in particular the second?just basics they were,guard your near post and make yourself big,its not rocket science.

to state how bad he is, kolarov's goal was no fluke. he side foot passed it into the goal form a 5 degree angle.

either he's watched many videos of howard letting it in before or he'd notice him do it a few times in the match and thought he'd try his luck. kolarov hasn't been given enough credit i don't think, but the fact he meant it is the most alarming thing.
