Largely thanks to a president who doesn't understand togger or appreciate that many of those saves were routine for any professional 'keeper... and a media campaign that went into an almost maniacal overdrive in the quest of selling 'soccer' to the folks in the good ol' US of A.

It was also a game in which alan Shearer BBC pundit on the night, told the media how easy it was to score v a keeper who fell on his backside too early so thats it guys dont blame Timmy or RM for selecting him blame a pundit striker who spotted he dived or fell on the ground before the shot came in V Belgium.
He never pointed out his other many faults though!

this is the only kind of media they're capable of. it's why Howard still wants to get paid... he knows he doesn't need to be any good in the MLS to be its mascot
