Tim Howard

It would show a serious lack of judgement should he come back in today. I'm sure you agree.
Of course it would. Would it be a hanging offence? No.

He wont pick Howard. He's officially injured. End of story.

Tbh though, if we have 3 more points by 5pm today I wouldn't care less if he'd put Robles, Howard or Fred the doorman in goal.

The last three paragraphs in article seems to clear the situation up
Martinez also insisted that his keeper, along with other icons Leighton Baines and John Stones, will simply not walk straight back into the team against West Brom, after three wins in a week from his side.

“That’s what you want. You want to assemble a squad were you feel that anyone could play. I’m in a great position at the moment because I can assess the performances and what the football is telling me.

“We’ve had three 3-0 score-lines with three good performances, a good feeling between the players and a real togetherness on the pitch. That is what you want. Are we a stronger team for having Tim Howard, John Stones, Kevin Mirallas, Leighton Baines and Oumar Niasse pushing to get into the team? Of course we are.”

Joel is playing in an unchanged team, I can now get ready to travell without the prospect of suffering the Tim Howard clench every time the ball is 30 yards from our goal

Actually, the fuss on here is not about Howard, the article could not be clearer.
No, it is the Martinez out brigade trying to manufacture a "bad manager situation". How pathetic some on here are, and transparent.

No one should walk straight back into a team that is winning games, you should have to earn the right to play, I just hope he keeps to what he is saying.

I agree on this, but i think he shouldn't say they are injured unless they really are, dropped sounds a bit harsh at times, they all lost places due to circumstances such as rotation for cup games, injury and two players playing the same position better in the case of Stones.
No manager is going to say a player is dropped. They all use the 'he's carrying a knock/has a niggling injury' line. It's face saving.

I'd like to think this snippet from Martinez means that at the end of the season he will be gone:

"We should appreciate that and give him that warmth between now and the end of the season. It’s important that Tim doesn’t feel that all his good work has been forgotten."

Yes, it seems that way, and Roberto is right in saying that he deserves some appreciation....even if it took an age for him to make the obvious change....I hope Tim gets a massive reception from the fans (while sitting on the bench)...........

We should have done too. Two gift pens and a goal that should have been chalked off because there was a handball under the refs nose which he allowed.

But we did gift them two pens, and they did beat us.

Anyway, town tonight if Howard is on the bench. Regardless of the result

I would. Simply because I don't agree with young players who do well being dropped.

No different to the Galloway situation. Plus I actually want him to do well at Everton and these type of decisions undermine him.
