Joe, in a contrary way I thought Howard was very shakey in the first half today. Just not the main problem for the goal.

Doug he came out further and braver to clear to through balls with his feet many yards off his line yet he let Ings have a free header 5 yards on a floated cross? his save form Coutinio was a bit mind boggling in the 2nd half punched it right down the centre of his defence but got away with it - he had an ok game, but the dreaded Dracula he is scared of high crosses from corners or free kicks! cost us 2 points - He just stands on his line with is finger in a rude place Doug! Its his main weakness a very good shot stopper, but does not command his box in the air!

Of course Barkey has to win the header, its what he was there to do, Kone would of, no excuses, you don't leave a player to get a free header like that and hope the keeper can get it, you deal with it yourself.

Apart from that the amount of corners we gifted them was terrible, but i guess some would want to blame Howard for that as well, you gift corners left right and center and let players get free one is gong to go in the net at some point.

The goalie has height advantage over everyone on the pitch therefore if the ball in in his space/vicinity then its his job to deal with it for the benefit of the team. When the goalie can get the ball he should.
