Tim Howard

Howard is absolutely gash, caught on his heels and not paying full attention for the ball back from Stones and then sat on his arse when the deflection from Ayew's shot goes in at waist height.

He's an absolute blooter, if Martinez picks the donk again after yet another pathetic display of this nature then he's a major bottler.

He just outdoes himself every game doesnt he.

Absolute digrace but we cant complain because we arent professional athletes and hes top class apparently.

I just want him gone.

I hate playing the "Robles wouldn't have done that" card as it's so speculative, but one thing I noticed when Robles played is how alert he was. He was spending a lot of time quite far out of goal and was always gesturing for a pass, whenever defenders were under pressure. Meanwhile Tim was glued to his line and didn't even move towards the ball. He shouldn't have been in that position but good keepers are there for just that: covering their team-mates; being the last line of defence. Howard never bails anyone out; he shirks responsibility and the lack of trust his defence has in him is clear as day.

Just watching the replays on sky sports. Howard looks at Ayew and still stays still and waits till the ball gets to him.

Absolutely shocking judgement and awareness not to move towards it when he sees that Ayew is coming. Ffs

He fell backwards for the 2nd doing his mini star jump.

Calling match going blues tits when your sat in an armchair, well done super blue.

He wasn't calling all match going blues it. Just the section that did it at the game. It's fine to do it in your own house but doing it at the match is cringeworthy. You can say they pay their money all you want mate but if somebody did the same to a waitress you couldn't hide behind the fact you're paying her wages. You'd still look an idiot. Going the game doesn't make anyone a better fan, the fella could be working or just cant afford £40 for a game

They pay there wages to pay for that, they can do what they want stop criticising fans from behind your screen. Absolutely winds me up

That's the difference between a keeper who likes to play that style, and one who doesnt - who's confidence is low.

It always seems like he has so few shots to contend with, and saves so very, very few. I'd love to see some stats to back that up but it always feels like a shot on target is a goal for the opposition.

The stats are distorted as he'll save the odd pop shot from 25 yards, or he'll have one good game in thirty where he saves around 10 and you think he's back on track.

He's totally finished as a top level pro though, that is plain to see.
