Tim Howard

Farcical. One good game at City and now he's reverted to form. The defence clearly have no confidence in him, because most of the time he's petrified to leave his area, but then for their first he just decides to rush out... because... you know, why not?

Clown. Get rid.

That first goal was Sunday league with a bloke playing goalie who would you would rather select in the first place.

Jags was losing the battle with Costa but you do not rush out and take out your cente-half.

As for failing to boss his six yard box as Chelsea put up the last minute up and under, well that's two years on the trot.

I feel sick when I see him.

Jagielka was culpable too but my word, I've never seen a keeper rush off his line and miss EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. It was cringeworthy.

But whilst 99% of us know he's well past it and needs binning, Martinez is in the 1%, so why even bother?

Disagree. Jagielka obviously must shoulder some blame, but Howard could have managed it with communication with his defenders.

If it was a one-off situation then I'd probably agree with Jagielka taking the brunt of it, but it isn't: we've seen similar mix-ups involving Howard.

All it takes is a loud, assured shout by Howard and Jagielka could have left it or managed it. From all accounts there wasn't hence the confusion.

This isn't a ant-Howard crusade comment, yet it becomes embarrassing when you see the same exasperating situation numerous times.

No doubt Jagielka could have dealt with it better but it's a one off for him. Howard on the other hand is a serial offender; that says a lot to me.[/QUOT
