No one said there was, but he's still the starting goalkeeper, and we conceded a lot more with him in goal than we did the year prior.
For what it's worth, Howard conceded 44 in 31 and a half games with 7 clean sheets. Joel is down as conceding 6 in 6 and a half with 3 clean sheets - as Robles came on for Howard around half time against Stoke. And if you're using that argument about the 46 goals conceded in 04/05, Richard Wright made 7 appearances that season. He conceded 20 goals.
Granted there are a million and one other factors that could come into play, and I'm not disagreeing with that, by any stretch, but you can look at a number of goals we've conceded within the past 18 months or so and said that, for a good amount of them, that Tim should've done better.
