Conceding a corner is like giving a pen away if everybody claime our two centre backs are great the we have a problem elsewhere?
Barry seem to win most headers on corners, or even Kone, Would Robles cope any better on crosses???

Watch the replay of their goal today. A bit too far from Howard to come out for and we had 3 defenders all there in the area (mori,stones, and kone). None of the 3 barely made it off the ground. We're just crap at attacking the ball in the air, as shown by our in ability to score or put headers on target from corners ourselves on the offensive end. I highly doubt that the reason we struggle at attacking balls in the opposition penalty area is a lack of confidence in howard. Out of our starting lineup today I'd only class Rom and mori as aerial threats
I see Degea dealt poorly with a corner tonight, but the made a great save it should have been five or six at half time it's frustrating that should have been a consolation goal only!
Every time we concede a corner it's heart in your mouth time RM has to sort it out!

It's a team-wide problem. We've given away enough goals from set pieces this season that almost every player in our first XI has made a mistake on at least one. Today it was just a cluster of Kone, Stones, and Funes Mori (our three best defensive headers, incidentally) all coming together and picking each other off the play to give away a free header. Barkley's given away a couple, Howard's been at fault for a couple, I think Galloway's been caught out once or twice, and I'm sure even Coleman and McCarthy have missed an assignment or two. The only reason Lukaku and Deulofeu haven't screwed up any set pieces is that they never come back to defend them.
Maybe one of them should Lukarku should pick up a centre half at least, just leave Delboy upfront on a corner perhaps!

Howard obviously doesn't help and is a toilet of a goalkeeper but the set pieces problem is something that is up to Martinez to fix. Unfortunately he's shown no signs of doing that the past 18 months.
And yet there are trumpets out there that think he's good enough. I'm at the point where I don't even desire a Butland/Cech even an Adrian would do at this point.

If that's accurate then it says everything.
Also says a lot about our mentality in general. It's not all Tim's fault, like, but I feel the lack of faith his defence have in him and his general weaknesses contribute a lot to our problems.
