Howard had a good game tonight.

Had a good game overall tonight. I've not seen a replay but I didn't come away blaming him for the goal.

He's just not strong enough.

Both the keeper, and the defence in general, need to cope much better with the tactic of putting a fat grock like Wickham on the keeper at set pieces. The chances of us conceding a penalty for a bit of push and shove are minimal, so let people know you're there.

The difference between us and the teams closer to the top is the difference between Howard and De Gea, Hart, Lloris, Cech, even bloody Schmeichel.

I suggest the teams closer to the top have better set piece defence strategy as well.

first paragraph spot on. I have massive massive doubts that martinez actually sees it as a priority though, he seems massively blind sided for some weird reason. If he doesn't rate robles (which i can't believe seeing as he's bought him twice) then fair enough, but if he wasn't willing to buy one after howard's horror show last season, i have worries now he'll do it this summer when he's been a bit better.

I think he will look for a keeper. He seems to be gradually over hauling the side. Rom and besic took up all of one summers budget and last summer I think he prioritized a Center back and wingers.He probably figured we could get by with Tim for another year

i barely listen to a word he says in the media, he usually does the opposite haha

Joel was simply faultless vs boro, every cross he came and collected, a lot of powerful crosses and shots came in and he didn't even fumble one. He's clearly the right choice at this point in time in my, and pretty much everyone else's opinion. It's a move based on something other than on-pitch performances, but if it's dressing room related, howard's still in the dressing room if he's on the bench!

I highly doubt robles is the answer, but i believe if he played the rest of this season, our chances of champions league this season would rise a large amount. I think europe is where we need to scout for our next top keeper.

Thought he played very well tonight for the majority. Was no way the only culprit for the goal but thought it was a pretty poor effort for a Premier League goalkeeper.

Like a ballet dancer on the line waving the ball in on in past him - why does he not make a dive or make himself form a big target as the ball in dead centre of our goal as it goes past him?
