We have always needed a better keeper than Howard he has always being coasting under the radar he never exactly stunk the place out but our ambitions should be a keeper that is contender for man of the match every 3 games or so. Howard gets one a season if we are lucky. Has he ever been a strong contender for player of the season in all his time here? There have been plenty keepers out there much better than Howard that would have dived on a move to Everton.

A club like Everton deserves better than nearly a decade of one unchallenged average keeper.

Leave stats aside for a minute we just need a better keeper than Howard that's the main thing.

With a 'keeper, stats say nothing.

A 'keeper can make an outstanding save, or a shot from 40 yards that trickles into his hands and it's the same stat.

What you can trust is your own eyes - which should tell you that Howard is inept.
