I think Joel will hold the place if he carries on doing nothing wrong. So far he hasn't let us down so far, ok he might benefit from the side playing more direct but that is just good fortune for him. He has come into the starting 11 at what is looking like that right time.

Hopefully by the time Howard is fit Joel will have played around 10 games and should be in tip top match sharpness. A keeper needs a good run but certainly for me game by game he is looking sharper. I would like him to have nothing to do though against West Brom as that means we are pummelling them ;)

He was praising Joel in the press and saying he's on schedule for a return in a couple of weeks. Will he go straight back in the starting line up or will Joel be shown some faith and kept in? Could be around the time of the Derby, so tough call for Boberto ( if he's still in a job after Palace that is ) or maybe Royle's 2nd coming will be against Liverpool again. So many questions
