People mention the Lampard winner, he also cost us 2 wins at Anfield. The cup game in 09 and a few years later when he brought one of them down running away from goal when we was 2-1 up and cruising. At his very best he was decent and thats it, not good, not great. He is now beyond awful and has been for a few years not just this season.

I fully understand whoever it is won't be perfect. Keeper is nigh on impossible to be perfect in but I want one who can do the basics perfectly.

i've refused to watch the highlights again tbh. i know what i saw real time, he's made me so pissed off this season i don't see the need replays as well. if he starts tomorrow, there's no way in hell we're coming back from the emirates with a clean sheet.

i watched burnley vs swansea today. fabianski is hardly brilliant like and has an unfortunate nickname that should be aimed at howard instead. he had nigh on nothing to really do, but had one close range one on one which he spread his body and blocked and every cross that came into the area he just came out and claimed.
this was happening to us under joel. we've been poor defensively all season, but there hasn't been any real games bar the chelsea one where teams have created a mass amount of chances against us ... yet howard has kept 3 clean sheets all season. robles was just doing the basics right and we were looking solid again. we've scored 9 goals in the last 3 games so we're starting to get that aspect back.
martinez has had a f*cking mare this season, howard should have been dropped months back, well before even the derby. wtf did he bring him back in? purely because we have a young team and it needs a couple of experienced players. that is the only reason i can see for it. howard no doubt in my mind will play again and like i've got it right every game since he's been back, he'll have his flappy moments and slice one out for a throw in at some time.
