Tim Howard

Who is your 2nd choice keeper? Pardon my ignorance but I really don't know. My point is, Howard needs competition. He plays every game - he knows that it doesn't matter how many mistakes he makes, he'll still play the following match.

I like Howard, on his day he's a superb GK. But when he's out of form, he needs to know that there's someone else in the ranks who can step onto the pitch and give him something to think about.

I'll say it again because everyone ignores it, last season was his 4th best in an Everton shirt by a distance. His first two years were clearly his best.
What makes its his 4th best and what are you basing it on the 3 seasons that are better clean sheets goals conceded??
Considering moyes was a negative defensive manager who would shut up shop at 1-0 and when 1-0 down would hardly throw the kitchen sink at teams I think there is stat i could be wrong like but under moyes we went something like 6/7 yrs away from home only winning one game when we conceded 1st

you're having a mare here now.

What has Martinez extending Howards contract got to do with me wanting Moyes back Stephen ?
Not really lad
Just because he extends his contract doesn't mean 18months down the line he won't get rid
I'm trying to be positive
As 11 yrs of moyes has obviously dragged some evertonians down
And I'm hoping Martinez is more ruthless and will get rid of players who are finished and not up too the job

Last season he played behind a mostly settled defence, 3 of whom are England internationals and one who is arguably one of the best right backs in the league, at least have some context in your inane ramblings ffs.

You're having a mare mate, come on.

It was only 6 months ago that Martinez extended his contract until 2018. If he saw him as finished and not up to the job, surely the contract extension wouldn't of been offered. Would you agree ?

I don't know the exact date but
It defiantly wasn't 6months ago that was the end of last season
More like this time last year or inside martinez's 1st few months in charge
Anyway could turn out to be a blessing when some dumb mls team gives us a few mil for him

Every single stat including shots on target to goals ratio which totally discounts the Moyes being defensive theory.

It was signed this year.

If he was finished and not up to the job, why did Martinez extend his contract until 2018 ?

Which makes it even less impressive compared to the other seasons, Hahahaha talk about context.

Doesn't mean he will see it out
if he continues with this form and
Martinez. Doesn't replace him in the summer then surely questioned will be asked of Martinez would you keep playing a striker that doesn't score???
