Something has been puzzling me - not difficult , at times - of late .
I have been noticing on various club badges , Stoke / St. Mirren , also Birmingham and I think Villa . Notts County are another ; that have pre-1878 establishment , i.e, founder years . One had 1860 something .
So , given we were St. Domingo F.C. - I title I still prefer , for obvious reasons . ( see my location ) - , for time , pre-EFC , are we just not counting the years under a different title , OR , as founder members of the league , are we being all Lord Snooty , and basically saying you COULDN'T be established if you weren't in the league ??? Least , you couldn't count it now , as we cock a snook at the riff-raff ???
I can't decide , but I reckon our TRUE founding date should get a mention .
What say you ???

( L.C.A.B. returns to highbrow Sunday afternoon pastimes . )

As an aside...following the Green and Gold anti-Glazer campaign by United supporters referencing their debt to Newton Heath, shoudldn't the Spirit of Shankly be organising a Blue and White (or Salmon and Blue) campaign against "dem Yanks"?

Just a thought.

i was gonna say that last week dave but thought that the response would be that we don't want them blerts claiming something that is ours.

i.e. history from the early years, we don't want them putting a stake on st.domingo's and claiming them as theirs.

"Eh lids, doze Mancs ave got dat Glazer on da run wit dis Newton heath [Poor language removed]. Why dont we get a shitload of Salmon and blue..........hold on lids'

, is it just me or does the SOS badge (red, white & black) look like a man utd thing?

I , find , your style of writing , quite hard to read - HAVING said that ,
when I can decipher what is said , old cock , it usually , is worth reading.

Why , cheers , my mate .
I think , VERNACULAR , is the applicable term . I make no apologies , however .
One is what one is , and all that , eh ???

so are you saying that they may start calling themselves Athletic or Hijack our early days as being theirs & not ours ?

Well yes , I suppose . I doubt Stoke City , were thus titled , in say , 1865 or whatever . Ditto Vanilla , etc . Also , are WE not counting ours cause ; a ; we weren't officially Everton F.C. , OR ;b; that it was pre-est' of Football League , and we have come over all holier-than-thou , elitist trip , thang . It is odd , though , esp' as we do like to wring every drop from the history angle , so to have Stoke , Sunderland , and the likes usurp us , as it were , seems somewhat remiss . Or is it me - it could very well be , btw - ???
