Four out and two in (and only those two after the season started). £16M of the £25M brought in from Lescott accounted for. No wonder Moyes is making statements like this:

"With the position Everton are in, I think we should be entitled to go out and spend the cash....We want a club which keeps aiming to progress, so I'm going to push the board really hard not just to spend the Joleon money but to spend more.You can't be at the top of the league and want to be at the top of the league and not invest in the team. The team needs investment."

Just over 27 hours for this lot to prove that the sale of Lescott wasn't to provide Moyes with a few quid with the rest going to service the debt.

Its clear that a shake up is needed at the very top . There are people there who have more say than Kenwright . These people need a kick up the backside aswell.

10 on the Russian (possibly 9M?); I've read between 4.5 and 6 on Distin. I'm being generous. It could be just £13.5M spent.
