This time next week

It's more a case of this time, two weeks from now for me.

It can go one of two ways. If we win one or both of the Newcastle/QPR games, it means Martinez is safe as manager for the time being.

If we only take a point or lose both, he's gone on the 22nd I reckon.

Either way, no "side" on here should be claiming victory. If Martinez survives, he's still had a woeful season and should be ashamed of his personal performance. If he goes, it's a tremendous shame to see a potentially great manager undone by his own lack of flexibility.

I personally doubt next week will be the "decider" - I think Newcastle will hold us to a draw. The bigger game regardless is QPR - it's a relegation six pointer no matter what happens against Newcastle.

I agree, the next 4 games will determine our entire season.

Two draws a minimum. 1 win a bonus. Loss to QPR and we are in trouble.

We will have beaten Dynamo Kiev 3-0 in the first leg of the Europa, and beat Newcastle 4 -0 if Robles plays in goal!
You never know pigs might fly!;)
Joking apart any good positive wins with any formation will be a big bonus for blues fans!

What's the minimum that you expect over the 4 games ?

At this stage, much as I'd love to see the European adventure continue I'd say the most important thing is to improve our league position. This means winning at least one of the Newcastle / QPR games - which isn't something we can take for granted after our woeful record in Sunday games so far this season. A narrow defeat against Kiev wouldn't be the end of the world, though it will hurt like hell.

We'll go through against Kiev over the 2 legs and draw both League games.

Everton that.
Hate to say that as I am always confident of winning, but I would take that right now. If we don't beat Newcastle then the QPR game is a must "NO lose" game.
If we are 6 points clear and goal difference with 8 to play it will be hard for the bottom 3 to turn that around.
Mind you, I have been saying we are due a win this round for what seems months now..so surely we are due one against Newcastle!! That would end it all...

Relieved and looking toward 2015/16.

...and a background sound of wailing and gnashing of teeth.

yes relieved, but for what reason, he's still here or he's gone, that is all up in the air

but for what ever reason you'll probably not go far wrong predicting the wailing and gnashing aspects.

I won't be happy until I'm in my already pre-booked ( but refundable less 15% ) apartment in Warsaw.
But as I haven't got a dogs chance on a refund for my flight from brisbane, I will have to pick somebody to cheer for when I get there
