....it is odd, Roydo, which is why I think only Chelsea and City are certainties. If Soton are still up there at the squeaky bum stage there is a good chance they will wobble, it might just suit somebody like us to play with a bit of freedom in catch up. We've not performed well but neither have most of the others, we have as good a chance as those around us.

Yep. There is no reason on earth why we cant do it. Not one. The next two weeks look important, (when arnt they ffs!), with us hopefully getting 3 points on Thursday, so making getting out of the EL group almost done, then hopefully 6 points in the league. RS could be lose their next 3, (so will now win them, obviously), unconvinced by West Ham, Spurs, Newcastle. Utd surely will pick up, but looked a shambles at times today.

The only other team I think who are primed for a convincing run of form is Arsenal. They have most players back, or nearly there, Sanchez is slotting, and they even look half organised at the back.

Football eh?

Cant see the owners giving a cent to Rogers if I am honest. They may be American, but they are not stupid.
Aye. That would just be throwing good money after bad.
Could see 20-30million maybe at maximum being given to him. That would be very optimistic to say the least, given that he's just spent 100m already this season. We're in the mix as much as United, Pool e.t.c for CL placings.

Problem is we are not taking the initiative. We should be using the fact that the RS are awful without sturridge before he returns from injury. We should be using the fact that Utd will probably throw 100 million at their defence and might get It right before January arrives.

We need to sort ourselves out as it doesn't matter how crap the opposition is we ain't getting 4th if our rivals are above us

...indeed, him as well

you know a part of me wants Southampton to continue to achieve. They were 'supposed' to be relegation fodder this season...and I like an 'underdog kicks ass' story
Fine with me if they finish 6th-8th and take points off some of the CL spot contenders. They'll falter as soon as they hit a rough patch of fixtures and/or a couple of their key players get injured. Newcastle were nailed on for 3rd a few years ago, until they actually have to play some tough matches.

It's a long season, we're only 1/4 of the way through.

Im not too sure about top 4 i think our performances have been average and inconsistent this year but so have alot of other teams ,hopefully soon we will find form and start winning games in the Prem!!
