Part of me wonders if an editor just stuck an erroneous headline onto his article, because the author's words don't seem to indicate at all that we're "all hype, no substance." He actually has quite a bit of praise for us, acknowledges that we dominated Arsenal for most of the game and were unlucky against Chelsea despite a good fight. The first two paragraphs and the headline are the only parts that seem deliberately inflammatory.
His presumption that Spurs will finish ahead of us is a bit nauseating but that's sort of to be expected.
He says that we're struggling because Barkley's injured and Lukaku isn't up to speed, which is completely true.
The bits about Naismith, Jagielka, and Distin all not being quality players are complete rubbish however, but he's not wrong in saying that we'll struggle to compete on multiple fronts this season.
I honestly don't know what to make of this, he makes reasonable observations, and then draws ridiculous conclusions from them. It's like it was written by 2 people, one who watches football and one who's job it is to stir up trouble and generate traffic to the site.
